Kimberly Alexis Bledel was born in Houston [in Texas] on September 16,1981 to Nanette and Martin Bledel. When she was a little girl her parents bringed her up very strictly. Once a week,they had a formal dinner. She couldn't speak English, her 1st language's Spanish and she communicated in it until coming to school. She began to learn English at school. Alexis was always a nice, shy girl and her parents cheered her all the time. They hoped,that once their daughter will be famous... When Alex was 8, her parents signed up her to the local theatre. There,she starred in dramas The Wizard of Oz, Aladdin, Our Town etc.... After this, she longed to be a model. These dreams realized when she was 16. She got an entry to the competition of local mall show. Alexis taked a fancy,so then started her modeling way. She liked this work so much and also she began to learn at high school.

She traveled all over - in New York,Milano,Los Angeles and Tokyo. She graduated high school and after it she signed up to the New York University. At NYU,she's been for a year and in spring 2000 Alexis' manager announced her,that she's invited to L.A. to the start of taking pilot season of TV serial Gilmore Girls and she has had play Rory Gilmore. The serial's become famous in the whole world and Alex began to be a star :))

When she's not working,she likes to do some normal things such as her peers. She likes writing,reading,photographing,going to the cinema and she really loves to be with her family,because the family is for Al very,very important.
